A Surrey side has completed the line-up for the finals of the 2024 British Clubs Mixed Championships after a stunning quarter final victory.
Royal Mid Surrey GC defeated Essex’ Abridge GC 4.5-0.5 in the south east regional final to earn their place at the magnificent Celtic Manor Resort in south Wales on September 26 and 27.
They have enjoyed smooth progress in this year’s competition, beating county rivals Clandon Regis GC A away in round one, Kent’s Nizels GC in round two, Sussex’s Goodwood GC in round three and Sunbury GC (again away) in round four.
They will now join south west champions Somerset’s Worlebury GC, northern winners Muthill GC, from Perthshire, and the Midlands winners Kibworth GC in the finals at the end of September.
The semi final draw will see Royal Mid Surrey play Muthill and Kibworth take on Worlebury.
