How teams are doubling their chances of success

A Surrey side has become the latest to sign up for the 2025 British Clubs Mixed Championships – and double their chances of success.

Windlesham GC will be entering two teams in this year’s competition – and joining a record number of clubs doing the same.

While each team must have its own separate squad of players, more and more clubs are realising that twice the number of teams means twice the opportunity of winning.

Joining Windlesham with two sides are county neighbours Royal Mid Surrey GC and Farnham GC while neighbouring county sees Littlehampton GC enter two teams this year.

In Hampshire, South Winchester GC and Barton on Sea GC both have two sides this season as have Exminster GC In Devon.

Double entrants also include Berkshire’s Royal Ascot GC, Herefordshire’s Leominster GC, Northamptonshire County GC, Lincolnshire’s Belton Woods GC, Northumberland’s Stocksfield GC and Cheshire’s Eaton GC.

This season’s fourth year of competition is on course for another record number of teams taking part – with entries closing next month after which the draw will be made.

All three previous winners – Hampshire’s Stoneham GC in 2022, Hertfordshire’s Brickendon Grange GC in 2023 and Somerset’s Worlebury GC in 2024 – will be returning to do battle.
