A hole in one and a thrilling away victory have kickstarted the second round of the 2023 British Clubs Mixed Championships.
Pride of place went to Betchworth Park GC’s Nicki Rooney, who aced the sixth hole of their away tie against Farnham GC B.
It helped her side win the all-Surrey clash 3-2 as Betchworth Park became the first side into the second round.
They will be joined by Derbyshire’s Erewash Valley GC who defeated Shrewsbury GC 4-1 in the Midlands region.
In the south east division, Northamptonshire County GC enjoyed a 5-0 victory over Essex’ Rayleigh GC while in the south west, Royal Ascot GC defeated Buckinghamshire’s Whiteleaf GC by the same scoreline.
